WALK ALONG THE UDORA RIVER OIL ON CANVAS 16" X 20" UDORA, ONTARIO, CANADA AVAILABLE ![]() This painting is called WALK ALONG THE UDORA RIVER, it is not actually named the Udora River, this river is called the Pefferlaw River. Many people enjoy walking along this river it's beautiful with a bridge and a small waterfall. The Udora Mill was built by Thomas and Lancelot Bolster of Port Bolster, Ontario, but is best known for its 90-year association with the Peers family until the time of its closure in 1976. Peers Mill was one of the last functioning Grist Mills in Ontario. Its current use remains to be defined; however it continues to be a point of pride for local residents. Marilyn Leola Brown is an artists and a published author. Marilyn Leola Brown was born in Port Perry, Ontario, Cananda. She lived many years of her life on a big farm in Zephyr, Ontario. Her family have been canadian farmers for many generations. Marilyn loves nature and wildlife. Marilyn's mother was a very creative quilter and past on her talent to her daughter. At 32 Marilyn attend Seneca College where she studied interior decorating. She took many courses to obtain her decorating certificate. One of the courses was drafting and design. Marilyn found she really enjoyed drawing. Later she studied with a well known local artist and painter, Hessel Pape. Marilyn has done many paints and drawings, over the last 20 years. She started in oil paints, but has moved to acrylic painting. She also works in watercolor as well as pen and ink drawings. Marilyn loves painting the many old Grist Mills in and around Ontario. She has a great love of architecture, and enjoys painting well known buildings in the area. Marilyn does commissions of peoples homes upon request.
